Changes since obtaining ISO Certification 2003 (to end 2009)

Over the past few years we have become more efficient and greener than ever.
Our prices have come down and so have a lot of other things. Savings have been passed on to customers and there has never been a cheaper or greener time to print.Take a look at out performance indicators or as they say on the street :’ Look what’s going down! ‘

Water usage reduced.
Water usage reduced by 59.4%. Ave litres usage per employee per work day 20.52Lts, down from 48.44 litres. Annual reduction 2009 Vs 2008 of 6.72%  

Gas consumption reduced, CO2 emissions reduced.
Reduction of 19.44%. CO2 emissions reduced by 1.6 tonnes. Annual reduction 2009 Vs 2008 of 3.56%. Kg CO2 per Million impressions reduced year on year by over 5%.

Heating oil consumption reduced.
Reduction of 46.5%. CO2 emissions reduced by 33.3 tonnes.  
Annual reduction 2009 Vs 2008 of almost 7,000Lts. Kg CO2 per Million impressions reduced by 34%

Electricity consumption reduced.
Electricity reduction of almost 2% from base year even with the addition of an extra operating building unit, and 3.4% lower than 2008. kWh/Million impressions reduced by 1.55%.

Alchohol consumption reduced.
The elimination of IPA from all the major presses has reduced the usage by 2,382 litres. Litho impressions increased from base year +16%. VOC emissions are down 73% versus the base year and down 58% against the previous year.

Vehicle emissions reduced.
Vehicle CO2 emissions have reduced by 7.3tonnes since 2004 and are also down vs previous year by 4.55 tonnes. Our total litres used (2009 vs 2008) were down by 6%.
